"Some 48 percent of students avoid army service for different reasons in Armenia,” Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said during a meeting with Yerevan State University students.
“We are making every possible effort to decrease that number, but no legal changes are envisaged for now,” the minister said.
He noted that the ministry is currently working towards increasing its organizational level and eradicating corruption.
