Iranian ambassador said on Monday they told Iranian authorities that auto factory should be opened in the northwestern province of Bursa in Turkey.

Iran's Ambassador to Turkey Bahman Hosseinpour and an Iranian delegation including businessmen paid a visit to Bursa Governor Sahabettin Harput.

When asked if Iranian company would establish an automotive factory in Turkey, Hosseinpour said infrastructure of Bursa was appropriate for a factory and they informed Iranian authorities about it.

"Iran's Samand cars have attracted a great interest in Turkey," Hosseinpour said.

The two countries aim to reach a bilateral trade volume of 20 billion U.S. dollars, he said.

Hosseinpour said there were several common points between Turkey and Iran and he believed that the two countries would achieve the trade volume goal.
