Iran has invited Islamic and Arab countries to collaborate on producing a film on the illegitimate occupation of Palestine.
Talking during the closing ceremony of the 2nd International Story of Resistance Film Festival in Beirut, the Iranian Deputy Culture Minister Javad Shamaqdari invited Islamic countries to join the large-scale project.
"Iran has decided to make a film about the 60-year occupation of Palestine," Tehran Times quoted him as saying.
"The project will require over 10 million dollars and we need the cooperation of the Islamic and Arabic countries.”
Shamaqdari also said that his country would support films made on the theme of the 33-day war on Lebanon, which killed at least 1,200 Lebanese mostly civilians.
The second International Story of Resistance Film Festival, which closed in Beirut on Jan. 19, 2010, screened documentaries, music videos and animations on anti-Zionist resistance movements.
