18 January 2010 [19:57] - Today.Az
Incident with Georgian "monitors" can lead to introduction of visa regime with the country, said Boris Kolesnikov, one of the leaders of the Party of the Regions.
"Ukrainian government is struggling with opposition by the forces of a foreign state. It can be at least a treason. It's evident and clear that actions [of the Georgians staying in Ukraine] are controlled by official authorities of Georgia. That's why there's all likelihood we'll demand introduction of visa regime with them," Kolesnikov said.
In his opinion, the arrived Georgians have patrons in the President's secretariat and the Cabinet.
On Jan. 17, Ukraine held the first round of presidential elections. Previously about 400 Georgian "monitors" arrived in Donetsk.
According to Valdislav Lukyanov, the Party of Regions representatives, some of them were employees of the Interior Ministry of Georgia.
Authories of Donetsk were afraid they intended to wreck elections.
