A technical delegation has been set up in regard to establishment of industrial zone between Turkey and Iran, Turkish industry minister said on Jan. 7.
Turkish Industry and Trade Minister Nihat Ergun had a meeting with Iranian Minister of Industries & Mining Ali Akbar Mehrabian and held a press conference at the ministry.
Ergun said Mehrabian and he had comprehensive and fruitful meeting in regard to improvement of cooperation between the two countries.
"A technical committee consisting of 10 people from each country has been established. The delegation will work on establishment of industrial zone on the Turkish-Iranian border. The technical delegation will conduct researches and work on agreements that will be signed between the two countries," he said.
In his part, Iranian minister Mehrabian said that there was a high potential in the Turkish-Iranian cooperation.
Mehrabian said during Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Iran visit, Turkish and Iranian authorities agreed to boost commercial ties, and the two countries have been working on it.
