Serzh Sargsyan is a future president of Armenia and he will be elected by the next presidential elections to be held in 2013, Armenian parliament's Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan stated at the Dec. 24 press conference.
“In any case, I personally will do my utmost for this to happen,” he underlined, adding that he has no presidential pretensions and is more than content with his current post.
Commenting on the rumors that he intends to stage inter-governmental coup d’etat, Abrahamyan said, “I am a team player. My commitment was proved in the course of political career and I will become a betrayer under no circumstances.”
