By Alimat Aliyeva Chinese manufacturers have significantly reduced the supply or completely halted the export of crucial parts for drone production to the United States and Europe, Azernews reports. According to sources, Chinese manufacturers have begun restricting exports of UAV motors, batteries, and flight control systems. These measures are believed to be just the "prelude" to more extensive restrictions on drone parts exports. Western officials anticipate that these broader limitations may take effect next year. One official noted that the People's Republic of China (PRC) could stop approving necessary export licenses and may require manufacturers to notify the government about their intentions to ship parts. This shift in export policy could have significant consequences for the global drone industry, especially given the growing demand for drone technology in both military and civilian sectors. The new restrictions might push Western nations to seek alternative suppliers or accelerate their own domestic production capabilities. Additionally, some experts suggest that these actions reflect the PRC’s growing focus on controlling critical technologies that are key to military and surveillance applications.
