Antalya, Turkiye, has been awarded the prestigious "Tourist City D-8 2025" title by the Organization of Eight Developing Countries, Azernews reports.

The announcement was made by Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, the Minister of Culture and Tourism. He emphasized that Antalya is the first city to receive this distinction.

"This unique city, which has been home to many cultures from ancient times to the present day, offers its visitors an unforgettable experience by combining its rich cultural heritage with stunning natural beauty. It is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations not only in Turkiye but also around the world," the minister stated.

Antalya, known for its breathtaking landscapes, ancient ruins, and world-class resorts, continues to attract millions of tourists annually. Its mix of historical sites, such as the ancient city of Perge and the Temple of Apollo in Side, along with its modern amenities, makes it a perfect destination for both culture and relaxation. The city's recognition as "Tourist City D-8 2025" further solidifies its position on the global tourism map, enhancing its reputation as a key player in international travel and tourism.

This award is expected to bring even more attention to Antalya, with the D-8 Organization playing an active role in boosting cooperation among member countries to promote tourism.
