The DPRK has ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Russia, which was signed on June 19 in Pyongyang, Azernews reports.

It is noted that the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, signed a corresponding decree on November 11. On November 9, the law on ratification of the treaty was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In accordance with the document, the parties on an ongoing basis maintain and develop, taking into account the legislation of their States and their international obligations, relations of universal strategic partnership based on the principles of mutual respect for State sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-interference in internal affairs, equality and other principles of international law concerning friendly relations and cooperation between States.

In particular, the Treaty provides for the immediate provision of military and other assistance if one of the parties is subjected to an armed attack in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. In addition, they undertake not to conclude agreements with third States directed against the sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, the right to free choice and the development of the political, social, economic and cultural systems of the other party.

The document consists of 23 paragraphs.

Despite the fact that earlier the agreement on the "comprehensive strategic partnership" between the Russian Federation and the DPRK was not officially valid, for a long time a number of different sources have reported that there are already military personnel from North Korea in the Russian Federation who will be sent to war against Ukraine.

Senior officials from the United States, South Korea and Ukraine are close in their estimates, according to which the number of these soldiers in the Russian Federation reaches at least 10,000 people. According to media reports, they are being trained at military facilities in the Far Eastern regions of Russia. Kiev claims that some of the North Korean soldiers, after training, were sent to the Kursk region, where the military operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues, and losses are already being observed among the DPRK forces.

In addition, according to Kiev, North Korean officers are already at the front, who are helping the Russian forces use weapons previously transferred by Pyongyang to Moscow for attacks on Ukraine.
