Armenia's invigorating mountain climate is the best fit for Europeans. As practice shows, it has a particularly beneficial effect on reproductive abilities. This explains why the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) is multiplying with such stability and acceleration. Once there were only 50 European pioneer observers, three months ago there were already 138, and today more than 200 people are working hard in Armenia. But this is not the limit. The number of people with binoculars is planned to increase to 600. Judging by the dynamics of the increase, this result, unprecedented in wildlife, will be achieved soon enough.
It should be noted that the statistics of the "birth rate" among European observers in Armenia were recently presented by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov. According to him, both Baku and Yerevan are dissatisfied with the activities of the mission.

It seems that the discontent of the Armenians is caused by reasons different from ours. From the very beginning, the Armenian side relied on the Europeans, believing that the appearance of missionaries on the border would force Azerbaijan to stand at attention. This did not happen. And therefore, the mission's purpose remains a mystery to the Armenians themselves to this day. What is EUMA for if it cannot scare the Azerbaijani side? - they don't understand. It is not enough for the Armenians that the mission turns a blind eye to their art, they need something more. They do not want to accept the truth, which is that EUMA is in Armenia not for the sake of the Armenians, but for the sake of the interests of the West, which wants to oust Russia from the region, keep the enemy Iran closer and control the logistics corridors. In order to achieve these goals, the size of the mission is increasing. 600 people is already very serious, it's a whole unit. Binoculars, so that everyone has enough, will have to be delivered by a separate plane.

The day before, a group of Euro-observers showed up in the Gerus direction of the conditional border with Azerbaijan. Moreover, this time the members of the mission, accompanied by the Armenian military, came close to the demarcation line. And from there they unceremoniously looked at the territory of our country and the positions of our army through optical devices, discussing something with the accompanying Armenians. Who gave the mission the right to spy on a country bordering Armenia? Azerbaijan initially refused the presence of the mission on its territory with the proviso that it would be ready to cooperate if necessary. But nothing was said about the fact that European representatives are allowed to monitor the territory of the country and spy on the positions of the Azerbaijani army without notifying the Azerbaijani side. In this scenario, it cannot be regarded as anything other than espionage.
It is unlikely that Georgians, Iranians or Turks would like to be looked at from the other side of the border with army binoculars. And in the countries themselves, which are represented by members of the mission, such behavior would not be taken for granted. In most cases, this would be considered a hostile act.

The mission has been operating in Armenia since last year. Initially, it was planned as a short-term one - that is, we arrived, looked at our homes. But even then it was clear that the so-called civilian mission had come to the region in earnest and for a long time. In January of this year, the EU Council decided to increase the size of the mission and determined its financial costs until 2025. Since then, EUMA has achieved nothing. Talk about its supposedly beneficial effect on stabilizing the situation on the border does not reflect the truth. Relative stability is not the merit of EUMA, but the periodic violations of the ceasefire regime by the Armenian side are its direct fault. The mission is constantly cruising along the borders and should have noticed preparations for provocations. Although what are we talking about - last year, European missionaries did not notice the disappearance of an entire metallurgical plant on the border in Nakhchivan. We were very embarrassed for the Europeans who behaved so stupidly.

What did the EUMA members want to see through their binoculars this time?  Did they want to see the units preparing to attack? Doubtful. Most likely, it was a psychological attack. To come so provocatively close to the Azerbaijani positions, to examine them and discuss them with the Armenian military - all this was done with some kind of demonstrativeness. A day later, the continuation of the "series" hit the social network. Again, missionaries and Armenians are waving their pens, discussing something, looking in our direction. Moreover, the Europeans are loitering more, and it becomes clear that they are not the main actors here at all. It is possible that it is not the military that covers the Europeans, but, on the contrary, the mission covers the intelligence activities of the Armenian side. Accompanied by people in blue vests, the iron ashots feel safe. In principle, such a version has the right to exist. The mission simply does not prevent the Armenian side from doing its job.

They provoke Azerbaijan by staging such performances, trying to play on their nerves in the hope that they will eventually break through somewhere.

It won't break. Azerbaijan draws certain conclusions from each such show - no more. Baku understands that we are being provoked. And also the fact that EUMA was not created for the sake of Armenians. The EU is not spending millions to ensure that the inhabitants of some Tech city sleep peacefully. And 600 members is not the limit. Gradually, the mission will take root and begin to "master" new types of activities.

This is a big geopolitical game in which Armenians are used as a tool and Armenia as a springboard. Everything is simple. The West seeks to control the transport and logistics arteries of the region. Currently, they are not under anyone's control, but they have a moderator in the person of China as the largest beneficiary of the new Silk Road. Russia does not have the ability to control logistics in this part of the continent, because from the very beginning Baku set everything so that the corridors running through Azerbaijan did not have an outside owner. While the South Caucasus, or rather Armenia, was in the sphere of Russian influence, the West could not get close to the region. Now Pashinyan has turned his country into a checkpoint, and I think it will not be limited to one "civilian" mission. In order to intercept the region, the West needs tension. Once Russia used the same weapon to strengthen its position, now Brussels and Washington are using the same method. That is, the play is the same, only the cast has changed.
We are waiting for the next act.
