Uzbekistan ranked 82 in the updated Passport Index of Henley & Partners, which is an increase from the previous ranking, where the country stood 78th.

The annual Passport Index of Henley & Partners contains a rating of passports of almost 200 countries of the world by the number of countries with visa-free entry.

According to the index, citizens of Uzbekistan can visit 59 countries of the world without a visa just as in the previous rating.

Japan took the first place in the ranking. The passport of Japan allows traveling without a visa to 190 countries of the world. Singapore held the second place (189 countries), Germany – the third (188 countries).

Since January 2018, Uzbekistan has established a visa-free regime for eight countries (total - 17) and increased from 12 to 51 the number of countries citizens of which may obtain visas in the simplified way.
