President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Dushanbe on the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Sept. 27, the Uzbek presidential press service said in a message.

Mirziyoyev was met at the Dushanbe International Airport by the president of Tajikistan.

A number of bilateral events in the Tajik cities of Dushanbe and Tursunzade will be held today within the framework of the visit.

Tomorrow, the president of Uzbekistan will participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
