Chairman of the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammadova has received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Jan Bori, says the message of the Turkmen government.

The diplomat expressed his desire to intensify cooperation both in bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN and the European Union.

During the conversation, the sides touched upon the recent commissioning of the Turkmenbashi international seaport, which creates the most favorable conditions for access to the Black Sea, in the direction of Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. The new port can significantly reduce the distance and travel time of large-scale cargo traffic, by adding to them the opportunities of land and air transport services.

In this regard, the prospects of expanding trade and economic partnership in the transport and energy sectors, industry, health resort business and tourism have been noted.
