US President Donald Trump will continue to look for ways to work with Russia, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said during a press briefing, Sputnik reported.

The United States and Russia have stood on the opposite ends on various global issues, but the Trump administration has continuously said it seeks to find common ground with Moscow.

"He [Trump] does think that there are places where we can work with Russia particularly whether it's on Syria or North Korea… he's going to continue to look for ways to work with them that help America," Sanders said on Thursday.
