An earthquake measuring 4.5 hit Uzbekistan, Interfax news agency reported.

The epicenter of the 4.5 magnitude earthquake was 487 kilometers far to the southwest of Astana at a depth of 5 kilometers.

There was no immediate data on damage or casualties.
