Turkey’s police resumed the anti-terrorist operation in Istanbul, the Anadolu Agency said August 4. The operation is aimed against the terrorist organization “Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front” (DHKP-C). Some people have already been detained during the operation. The DHKP-C is responsible for terrorist acts committed in May 2013 in the city of Reyhanli of Turkey’s Hatay province, which killed 46 and injured 155. The DHKP-C members have also carried out a terrorist attack in the US embassy in Ankara, killing a security guard of the embassy and injuring another person. On March 31, the terrorist group’s members took the attorney Selim Kiraz as a hostage in the Justice Palace in Istanbul. Kiraz, who suffered five bullet wounds during a special operation to free him, died in hospital. /By Trend/
