On Tuesday, students again gathered in front of the Yerevan State University (YSU), Armenia Today reported.

A large number of police gathered in front of the main corps of YSU, who along with university faculty urged the protesters to leave the Yerevan State University campus, noting that the actions of the participants are preventing classes from being held and that students who wanted to join protests, have already done so.

One of the teachers even accused the protesters of hooliganism, noting that one of the participants broke into a classroom and encouraged students to take part in the strike. Protesters themselves denied this accusation and demanded proof. In general, YSU lecturers are urging the protesters not to involve other students in political issues and to not obstruct other's studies.

A group of students and faculty from the Yerevan State University have chanted opposing slogans "Go away, we want to study."

One of the YSU lecturers Gevorg Melkonyan offered students to surround the building and prevent protesters from entering the territory of the university. He stressed that "this is not a national movement, this is a political movement."

Later, the police cordoned off the YSU building to prevent protesters from entering the university courtyard. As a result, the protesters began to move towards the building of the Institute of Physical Culture, chanting "Join us!"

Most of the students who gathered in front of the university building sealed their mouths with tape as a sign of protest.

Civil society activists, in particular, Yeghia Nersisyan joined the rally participants. He informed the participants that the Board of Medical University decided to open the gates of the university. The students started marching towards the Medical University.
