President of the European Commission (EC) Jose Manuel Barroso and new Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili will hold talks in Brussels on Nov.12.

A visit to the EU's administrative capital will be Ivanishvili's first foreign trip as head of the Georgian government.

"This visit is an opportunity to highlight the long-term commitment to the European Union's stability and development of Georgia," Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze said, commenting on the visit.

On Nov.14 Ivanishvili will meet with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Ivanishvili is accompanied by Maya Panjikidze, State Minister for European Integration Alexi Petriashvili and Defense Minister Irakli Alasania.
