A Georgia-Turkish business forum was held in Batumi attended by 84 businessmen from Izmir, the Chamber of Commerce of Adjara said on Friday.
They represented such sectors as agriculture, construction, tourism and the textile industries.
The Forum was opened by the Chairman of the Adjaran Government Levan Varshalomidze, who spoke about the projects being implemented in the region, as well as about the investment potential of Adjara.
The Forum was also addressed by the President of Chamber of Commerce of Adjara, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Izmir and the Consul General of Turkey to Batumi. Presentations of the investment potential of Adjara and Izmir, as well as bilateral meetings were held.
A memorandum will be signed between the Chambers of Commerce of Adjara and Izmir on May 22.
