Iran will allocate 100 billion tomans (more than $81 million) to strengthen its border this year, General Ismail Ahmadi Muqaddam, said, the Mehr reported on Thursday.

At a meeting on Thursday with the border guards of Gasrigira General Muqaddam noted that the boundaries of the state are protected reliably, and in case of danger, the enemies will be given a worthy reply.

He said the further strengthening of the border will prevent smuggled goods from entering the country, including fuel, as well as drugs.
