An Iranian delegation has departed for the Turkish city of Istanbul to hold a new round of multifaceted talks with representatives of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (P5+1).

The Iranian negotiating team, headed by Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili, left Tehran for Istanbul Friday morning.

Iran and the P5+1 -- Russia, China, Britain, France, the US and Germany - are scheduled to resume a fresh round of multifaceted talks in Istanbul on Saturday. The sides will exchange views on a host of issues, particularly Iran's nuclear energy program.
