Large scale military exercise Caucasus-2012 is no accident that were synchronized with the elections to the Parliament of Georgia, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said at a joint press conference with his Finnish counterpart in Tbilisi on Tuesday.

"We have repeatedly appealed to the Russian side with the requirement to specify the format of these exercises, which target pose such a large-scale exercises, but still there is no answer," Vashadze said, noting that not only Georgia, but also the entire international community is concern on this occasion.

Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the Tskhinvali city and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced two unrecognized republics as the occupied territories.
