Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in his speech during a ceremony on the Iranian Islamic Republic revolution on Saturday that an inauguration of several new achievements in the nuclear sphere will be held in a few days, and the whole world will witness them.
As Fars News agency reported on Sunday, inauguration of the Fordo uranium enrichment plant and unveiling the 20-percent enriched uranium fuel bar for Tehran Nuclear Research Center (TNRC) may be held in a few days.
Iran started enriching uranium to a 20-percent level in February 2010, after failed negotiations over a fuel swap which would have seen Iran shipping out 3.5 percent enriched uranium in exchange for 20 percent fuel from Russia and France.
The UN Security Council has slapped four rounds of sanctions on Iran to get it to suspend uranium enrichment, a process which can produce fuel for a reactor but which can also be used, at a high enrichment level above 90 percent, in a nuclear weapon.
Iran announced earlier that some nuclear facilities and equipments including two cascades with 174-centrifuge each have been transferred from the Natanz enrichment plant to the Fordo site.
