Ninety-five percent of the Azerbaijani people trust President Ilham Aliyev and 96 percent approve of his policy, Director of the Caspian Information Centre, Gerald Frost said Tuesday at a press conference here.
Frost noted according to the results of the poll, 79 percent of respondents think that things in Azerbaijan are generally going in the right direction, and 70 percent regards that the economy in the country is going in the right direction. According to the poll, 82 percent of respondents consider that Azerbaijan`s global standing has increased over the past decade, while 54 percent think that the overall quality of life has improved in the country. Majority of respondents regards that transport infrastructure, healthcare, education and other spheres in Azerbaijan has developed.
Frost said generally respondents think that Azerbaijan was an improving, successful and strong country. The poll was conducted on September 10-30 by British Populus Limited at the initiative of the Caspian Information Centre.
