Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov yesterday met with the participants of the first meeting of the International Relations Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA).
Asadov praised activity of the organization, noting TurkPA made contributions to development of relations among Turkic-speaking countries and expansion of international cooperation.
Azerbaijani Speaker described Azerbaijan`s getting seat in the UN Security Council as a “victory of the whole Turkic world”.
Discussions at the meeting also revolved around membership of Turkish-speaking countries and communities in the TurkPA, expansion of cooperation and other issues.
