Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to Federal President of the Republic of Austria, H. E. Mr. Heinz Fischer.
"Dear Mr. Federal President,
On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own, I would like to sincerely congratulate you and the people of your country on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Austria.
We attach great importance to Azerbaijani-Austrian relations. Therefore, the present dynamics of our political, economic and cultural relations is particularly reassuring.
I am sure that your recent visit to Azerbaijan, your meetings in Baku and our fruitful discussions on the bilateral agenda will make an important contribution to a further strengthening of our relations and expand our cooperation.
On this momentous day I wish you good health and every success in your activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Austria.
