Kazakhstan will host the summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking countries (CCTC) on Oct.19-20, Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said at the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan - Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Baku on Thursday.

He said Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are expected to sign nine agreements, including a cooperation agreement in the field of marine and merchant shipping, at the summit. Today, the Kazakh and Azerbaijani state authorities are close to complete the work on studying details of a package of agreements, which is being developed.

An agreement on the establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries was signed at the Ninth Summit of Heads of Turkic-speaking states in Nakhchivan on Oct. 3, 2009.

The Cooperation Council includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.
