The Azerbaijani interior minister was invited to pay an official visit to Pakistan.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov met with Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan said.
Bilateral relations, including the cooperation among law enforcement bodies were discussed. Pakistan's minister reiterated his country's full support for Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
Minister Malik informed Azerbaijani diplomat about the criminogenic situation in Karachi and measures to combat terrorism.
Minister Malik stressed the importance of establishing strong ties between the Interior Ministries and invited Azerbaijani counterpart Ramil Usubov to pay an official visit to Pakistan. Moreover, he invited employees of Azerbaijani interior bodies to train in Pakistan's police academy.
