“According to initial reports, there are no Azerbaijanis among the victims of the mosque blast in Pakistan,” the third secretary of Azerbaijan embassy in Pakistan Chingiz Garibli told APA. According to him, the embassy is specifying the reports about the dead and injured people, the embassy has not received any report saying that Azerbaijanis suffered the terrorist attack.
“There is very little probability, because Azerbaijanis do not live in that region,” he said.
At least 40 people were killed, more than 100 injured as a result of bomb explosion in the mosque in Pakistan. The blast occurred during the Friday prayer in the Khyber region situated in the country’s north-west. There were reportedly 300-700 people in the mosque. The death toll may rise. No organization took responsibility for the blast.
