Newly-appointed UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Bateman will take up his appointment later in September, APA reports with reference to the British Embassy in Baku.
Peter Bateman succeeds Dr Carolyn Browne, who ended the diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. Peter Bateman joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1984.
He has served in Tokyo (twice); Berlin; and La Paz. Before his appointment to Azerbaijan, he has been British Ambassador in Luxembourg since 2007.
