Ogtay Asadov is reelected the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker, the Parliamentary Spokesman Akif Tavakkuloglu said.
Voting was held on Monday at the opening session of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the fourth convocation. Ziyafat Asgarov is reelected the First Deputy Speaker, Bahar Muradova and Valeh Alasgarov - deputy -speakers. Also chairmen of parliamentary committees have been elected.
The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has approved the results of the Nov. 7 parliamentary elections. The CEC approved a final protocol on the results of the elections on Nov. 22. Seventeen of 18 CEC members signed the protocol.
The voter turnout hit about 50.14 percent (roughly 2.48 million voters) in Azerbaijan, the CEC's Elections Information Center told Trend.
