Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Tajikistan's national holiday Wednesday, AzerTAc state news agency reported.
"On my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, I cordially congratulate you and all your people on the national holiday - the Independence Day of Tajikistan. The traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries provide opportunities for mutual cooperation. I am confident that we will continue to consistently make joint efforts to take advantage of these opportunities," the letter reads.
Aliyev wished Rahmon good health, success in his activities, and peace and prosperity to the people of Tajikistan.
