An Azerbaijani residing in St. Petersburg was shot dead in Yekaterinburg, according to Russian mass media. Spokesman for the Main Interior Department of Sverdlovsk Valeri Gorelikh said the body was found in the Drujininsk forest strip of Sortirovka region.

According to Gorelikh, the police officers found two pistols at the site. One of the pistols had silenceron it. The person had a passport on him, he was identified. He is Azerbaijani residing in St. Petersburg. His name is not publicized. He had reportedly come to Yekaterinburg shortly before the incident. The investigators came to this conclusion as a ticket had been found on him. Criminal case has been launched on the fact.
