Russia will not place peace-keepers in the Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov said in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station. This is a problem of the two parties - Azerbaijan and Armenia, he added.
"This is a good format, where the Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders meet in the presence of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. I hope that this format will continue," Mironov said. Russia plays a positive role in this negotiation, he believes.
According to Mironov, when the parties agree, Moscow is ready to be the guarantor of compliance with these agreements.
