Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan Masamitsu Oki has visited Ganja, the country's second largest city.

Oki attended the opening of a Ganja education center which was equipped as part of Japan's Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Project.

Speaking to the ceremony, he said the Japanese government had implemented 7 projects in Ganja aimed at improving healthcare, developing education and bettering electricity supply for IDPs. The ambassador was presented with a carpet depicting Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi here.
