Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic commented on the discussions over the protocols on normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations.
The ambassador said the statements made by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Davutoglu show importance of improvements in the processes aimed to ensure sustainable peace and stability in the Caucasus.
“The negotiations held with Armenia can not harm Azerbaijan’s interests. I believe that these negotiations will give impetus to settlement of problems related to Nagorno Karabakh and other occupied regions. Moreover, as Prime Minister stated Turkish parliament should approve protocols so that they will be effective. We expect Azerbaijan to believe Turkey under these conditions,” he said.
