Azerbaijan will assert its stance on development of oil fields on the Caspian Sea by all means available, ANS TV quoted Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov as saying.
“We are ready to protect Azerbaijan’s interests by all means available including diplomatic ones. As to court procedures, we are ready to consider it as well in case of necessity,” Khalafov said.
He said Azerbaijan conducted a study into development of fields in early 1990s before the Contract of the Century was signed.
“We have conducted all necessary studies to substantiate our position and rights,” he said.
