The latest updates from the Central Election Commission say that the incumbent president, Kurmanbek Bakiev has won 83.8 percent of votes (1,665.305 voters).
As of 9 a.m., the CEC counted 88.33 percent of ballots from 2,058 polling stations, out of 2,330 stations opened in Kyrgyzstan and abroad, 24.kg news agency reported.
The only opposition candidate Almazbek Atambaev is at second place with 7.92 percent (157,413 thousand votes), while Temir Sariev won 2.89 percent, Jenishbek Nazaraliev - 0.63 percent (2.47 votes). The only woman candidate Toktaiym Umetalieva has won only 0.46 percent, while the least number of votes was gained by Nurlan Motuev – 0.37 percent.
At least 2.93 percent of population voted against all candidates.
The total number of voters at the presidential election reached 2,301,292 persons, which is 79.38 percent of the country’s population.
