Head of the Caucasus Muslims Clerical Office Allahshukur Pashazade has been invited to take part in UNESCO meeting in Moscow on July 21.

The meeting aims to establish Inter-Religious Advisory Council at UNESCO. Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan will be council’s members, Pashazade said at a news conference.

Pressing religious issues will be debated at the meeting. Representatives from UNESCO, Vatican, Israel, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia will also participate.

“Azerbaijan’s inclusion with the UNESCO council shows world community’s high appreciation of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan,” he said.
