On May 27 the Youth Association of the New Azerbaijan Party held a conference "APR-91: memory of historical pride" devoted to the 91st anniversary of Azerbaijan People's Republic, reported Day.Az with reference to the press service of the party.
In his speech, Chairman of the Youth Organization Ramil Gasanly noted that Azerbaijan People's Republic was the first democratic republic in the entire East.
At the conference, Aydin Mirzazade, deputy of Milli Medjlis and member of the political board of the party, recommended to the youth to take a deeper study the history of the establishment of Azerbaijan People's Republic.
"Today the future of our independent state depends on the youth", he said.
The conference also heard the speeches of MP Fuad Muradov, associate professor of the Baku state university Nuru Mammadov and others.
