Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has received today OSCE Minsk Group French co-chair Bernard Fassier.
Discussions revolved around current state and perspectives of negotiations to find a peaceful solution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

The French diplomat told journalists at the
Heydar Aliyev International Airport that he arrived in Baku from
Tbilisi and he was in Yerevan before, APA reports.
Fassier said he met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign
Minister Edward Nalbandian. “I can’t give details of the negotiations,
but the process is developed seriously”.
Fassier said he would meet with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev
and would give details after that meeting. The French co-chair said he
would leave Baku on Saturday, but didn’t specify where he would leave
for. “I will leave for Paris or Ankara. I can leave for Ankara to hold
consultations there”.
Fassier said possibility of the meeting between Azerbaijani and
Armenian presidents during the St Petersburg Summit in June would
depend on the decision of the heads of states.

During the visit he will meet with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, which will be discussed by the negotiating process for a peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Visit B. Fassier in Baku will continue until May 16.
