The release of a journalist is a positive event, said the US ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse commenting on the early parole of Azadlyg oppositional newspaper correspondent Mirza Sakit.
"We want to share joy from this pleasant event together with his family. We hope that similar steps will be taken towards other imprisoned journalists", noted the diplomat.
