The Baku mayor's office allowed the agitation groups "For Karabakh and Republic" and "Republicans" to hold their mass actions in the Bibi Eybat settlement, said head of the central office of the Musavat party Arif Hajili.

He said the mayor's office did not allow the parties to hold meetings with voters and the meeting at one of the central squares in Baku.

"This decision of the mayor's office contradicts not only to the law "On Freedom of Speech", but also the electoral code. The central commission has defined places where the agitation groups will be able to hold meetings with voters, yet the executive power has rudely violated this law", noted he.

Notably, both agitation groups are against introduction of amendments to the Azerbaijani Constitution. The initiator of the creation of the civil movement "For Karabakh and Republic" was the Azadlyg bloc, consisting of three parties-the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Liberal Party of Azerbaijan, Civil Development Party, as well as the public forum "For Azerbaijan". The initiative of the bloc involved the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Umid and Musavat parties, as well as a number of NGOs.

The "Republicans" agitation groups created the Musavat party. The referendum on introduction of amendments to the Constitution is planned to be held on March 18.
