"Former Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev was punished for everything he did", said former presidential candidate and chairman of the Muasir Musavat party Hafiz Hajiyev.
"It can be said about Heydar Babayev that in period of his work he took the actions, which were not a part of his competence. It was simply necessary to check some of his objects.
The step, undertaken by President Ilham Aliyev, must serve a lesson for many other ministers. It proves that if needed other illegal actions of Heydar Babayev can be further made public.
As is known, Heydar Babayev wanted to become a president and currently he should not be left beyond control. He may start sponsoring radical opposition. But I believe that each official will get what he deserves in the future", said he.
