Four parties have decided to create a new coalition of left wing forces to join efforts before the municipal and parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, said chairman of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan Rauf Gurbanov.
He said on October 2 four parties, having close views about the upcoming political events, including the Communist Party, Socialist Party of Azerbaijan, led by Elshan Hasanov and Communist party on the basis of Markism and Leninism, chaired by Telman Narullayev and head of the United Communist party of Azerbaijan Musa Turkanov held the first meeting.
During it they discussed the principles of cooperation of left-wing parties and perspectives of creating of left wing powers. The parties voiced concern about the passiveness of separate political powers.
The four powers consider it necessary to prepare a single platform to take part in the upcoming municipal and parliamentary elections.
The parties came to an agreement to hold meetings on the level of parties chairman and develop a charter and regulation under which they could continue cooperation.
Moreover, the sides reached an agreement to hold meetings in such a format before the formation of official coalition.
