The U.S. welcomes Russia’s initiative for presidential talks on the Nagorno Karabakh issue.
"We have been working on this issue for quite a long time. I think most of you have catalogued those efforts over the years, and working through the OSCE and the Minsk Group. But I guess to bottom-line for you, we’re pleased by this initiative that Moscow is undertaking. We hope that the initiative succeeds. We are monitoring it very closely," said Sean McCormack, a spokesman for the Department of State.
