On October 16 of this year President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschshenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev had a telephone call, reports Day.Az with reference to the official website for President of Ukraine.
Yushchenko congratulated Aliyev on successful conduction of presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
The Presidents of the two countries stressed importance of the development of strategic partnership between the country and also discussed urgent issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the sense of preparations for the next energy summit, planned to be held in Baku in mid November 2008.
