Azadlyg bloc considers that Russia's recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is a direct violation of all international principles, including the principle of a territorial integrity of a state, which is a key one, says the statement of the Azadlyg bloc regarding Russia's recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

"Azadlyg bloc considers that this step should be assessed as an occupation of a part of Georgia's territory and continuation of Russia's aggressive policy, which creates tensions throughout the South Caucasus. Moreover, the Azadlyg bloc considers that this step is harmful for Russia's national interests.

Recognition of independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia threatens with the growth of separatists moods in Russia. Moreover, the said step will lead to worsening of Russia's ties with democratic world society and isolation of this state.

Azadlyg bloc supports and recognizes the territorial integrity of Georgia. The world community should support Georgia and strengthen resistance to Russia's policy, which leads to the sharp rise in tensions in the South Caucasus region", says the statement.
