The next fourth protest in front of the Russian embassy since the beginning of military actions against Georgia by Russia was held in Baku on August 13 by initiative of the activists of the Azerbaijani nongovernmental sector Ilgar Mamedov and Ilgar Ibrahimoghlu.
According to Day.Az, the action participants demanded from the Kremlin to withdraw troops from Georgia. The embassy representatives refused to come out to the participants. The police did not prevent the action.
Yet, later, a representative of the law enforcement bodies demanded from the action participants to disperse. He ordered to take I.Mamedov and Rashid Hajili (the chairman-in-office of the Azerbaijani National Public Committee on European Integration) away from the embassy.
As is reported, the action involved 12 public representatives.
