The Musavat party, functioning in Azerbaijan, has today attempted to hold the action in front of the Baku mayor's office.

Police released all activists of the Musavat party, said party chairman Arif Hajili.
He said the police detained 13 activists with 2 reporters among them.
"The Sabail district police officers made verbal warning to us and then released", noted he.
As for whether the party will hold protests again, Hajili noted that the issue will be discussed at the next session of the Musavat party Divan to be held on July 14.

Police released two activists of the Musavat party, said deputy chairman of the party Mehman Javadoghlu.
He said the police released chairman of the youth organization of the Musavat party Tural Abbasly and his deputy Ahad Mamedov.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the Musavat party that over ten members of the party, including members of the party divan Arif Hajili, Gulagha Aslanli and others were arrested during the protest. Several journalists, covering the action, were also detained.
According to deputy chairman of the Musavat party Mehman Javadoghlu, the arrested journalists were carried to the buses, where they were subjected to physical pressure.
Presently, member of Milli Medjlis from Musavat party Arzu Samedbeyli and other famous sociopolitical figures are at the 9th police station. They try to release the arrested.

Party chairman Arif Hajili said the police dispersed the action.
Several activists, including Arif Hajili, are currently held at the 9th Sabail district police station.
It should be noted that demands to ensure the right for freedom of assembly were voiced during the protest.
